Ex-WWE Star Returning After 14 Years Away

Triple H WWE

One former WWE star has surprised many people by announcing their return to the company after 14 years.

In 2011, Ivelisse joined WWE’s then developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling. There she shared the ring with the likes of Naomi, Kaitlyn, and Paige. She made four appearances in the newly formed NXT brand in 2012 under the name Sofia Cortez before departing the company.

She had a short run in TNA and went on to become a regular competitor in AEW from 2019 to 2021, forming a team with Diamante. Together, they captured the AEW Women’s Tag Team Cup by defeating Brandi Rhodes and Allie.

But now it looks like she could be on her way back to WWE.

14 Year Absence From WWE For Ivelisse

At the House of Champions ID Showcase, Ivelisse attacked reigning WWE ID Women’s Champion Laynie Luck after Luck had successfully defended her gold against Airica Demia.

Taking to social media, Ivelisse seemed to hint at a return to WWE, perhaps through winning their ID Title, as she wrote:

Im returning where I belong @WWE Guste a quien le guste!

Matt Cardona only had to wait five years before making his comeback to WWE. Cardona surprised everyone when he made his official return to the company on the first SmackDown of 2026.
