Ex-WWE Star Refuses To Blame Triple H For Fumbling Storyline
A former WWE star has defended Triple H.
In October 2022, JBL made a surprise return to WWE to form a partnership with Baron Corbin. Under JBL’s guidance, Corbin picked up a series of quick wins, but that was followed by a lengthy losing streak, and the veteran abandoned the former NXT star the following February.
Corbin then went undrafted in the official WWE Draft and moved back to NXT. He found success with the third brand, but a move back to the main roster again left him floundering, and he was let go in late 2024.
For many fans, Corbin’s run with JBL seemed to be a missed opportunity, as WWE didn’t seem to have any kind of long-term plan for them.
Interestingly, the star now known as Bishop Dyer seems to agree, but he remains adamant that the storyline’s failure had nothing to do with Triple H. In response to a fan on social media, Dyer credited JBL, noting that the partnership could have been “special.”
It definitely wasn’t Triple H.
It definitely could’ve been special, and JBL had so many amazing ideas.
Bishop Dyer Knows Who Was Behind WWE Exit
During an interview back in January, the former Baron Corbin said that he knows Triple H wasn’t behind his WWE release. He revealed that after his departure, several high-profile names such as Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, and Randy Orton reached out to him to offer their support and express their surprise at the decision.
This led Orton to offer to speak to Triple H directly, and he told the star that “someone doesn’t like you.” Dyer noted that he felt he knew the mystery individual.
