Ex-WWE Star Recalls Heat With The Undertaker – “I Just Spoke The Way I Felt”

The Undertaker survivor series 2020

One former WWE star opened up about getting himself in trouble with The Undertaker.

During his decades-long career in WWE, The Undertaker became one of the most respected locker room leaders in the company. However, not all stars got along with The Deadman, and speaking in a new interview with Steve Fall of WrestlingNews.co, Duke ‘The Dumpster’ Droese opened up about having heat with the veteran due to his flashy in-ring style.

“I remember me and Pierre, the Quebecer Pierre, who’s now PCO, we would be on many house shows together in the first or second match of the night. We would go out there and just fly all over the place and beat the hell out of each other and I remember guys like the Undertaker and Shawn Michaels and them getting pissed off about what we were doing because they had to go out for the main event, and, you know, they’re like, ‘We can’t follow that.’ It’s like, ‘Well, maybe you got to step up your game.’

“There’s a whole ‘nother bunch of heat I put on myself, but I would say sh*t like that to them. I’d be like, ‘Look, man, I’m just trying to get over and make some money here and improve my position, so I’m gonna go out there and do everything I can’, and they didn’t like it. They didn’t like my answer many times. They didn’t like whatever answers I gave them for situations, but I really didn’t care. I just spoke the way I felt and sometimes that could get you in trouble in the wrestling business.” (h/t WrestlingNews.co)

The Undertaker Headed To WWE Performance Center

According to a new report, The Undertaker is set to be in Orlando, FL next week and will be at the WWE Performance Center. His time in Orlando will include Tuesday, October 10th, when NXT is set to present a stacked card as it goes head to head with AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday. John Cena, Cody Rhodes, and Asuka are all scheduled to appear on the show as well as NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and North American Champion Dominik Mysterio.

The report notes that The Undertaker won’t necessarily appear on NXT, but that his appearance is a possibility if WWE decides to go that route. The star appears at the Performance Center every once in a while to give advice to talent, so that could be the reason for his visit despite the interesting timing.
