Ex-WWE Star Claims “Someone” In Creative Scrapped Planned Roman Reigns Match
A former WWE star was meant to face Roman Reigns.
After being released in November 2021, Karrion Kross (Killer Kross) and Scarlett returned to WWE in August 2022 after Triple H took control of the company. This return put Kross into a rivalry with Drew McIntyre, but the rest of his time with the promotion failed to hit the heights any hoped.
Despite a remarkable spike in popularity during 2025, Karrion Kross and Scarlett left WWE on August 10 after their contracts expired. While Scarlett wasn’t offered a contract, Kross was, but it was quickly recinded.
While speaking to Scaredy Cast, Kross looked back on his WWE career and lifted the lid on original plans for him when he initially returned. This included a match with Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre, but someone stepped in to block it.
“I would have liked to have paid off the match with Roman Reigns. I had heard a few different variations of what was supposed to happen with that. One of the variations was like a potential triple threat between me, Drew, and Roman when we first came back. But somebody else came back to the company and got involved with creative shortly after us and completely killed that and then drove, you know, Drew off a cliff.”
Roman Reigns Is Above WWE Title
At Survivor Series, Reigns unsuccessfully teamed with CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and The Usos against Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, and Brock Lesnar. The end came after the intervention of a mystery figure clad in black.
During the post-show, Triple H heaped praise on Roman Reigns, claiming he’s now above championships and bigger than being World Champion.
