Ex-WWE Star Offered Fight With Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson is no stranger to the world of wrestling.

Over the years Mike Tyson has made no secret of the fact he loves pro wrestling, and he’s made appearances for both WWE and AEW. Incredibly, he almost had another link to the squared circle.

Back in August, Bobby Lashley allowed his WWE contract to expire after turning down an offer to stay. While the star has kept his cards close to his chest, he’s been heavily linked with AEW as well as fielding offers from the boxing world as well as MMA companies.

However, it’s been widely reported that Lashley has already become All Elite, and will be making his debut in the coming weeks. Upon making his debut, Lashley is expected to join forces with MVP and Shelton Benjamin as part of the Hurt Syndicate.

But despite this, he somehow found himself on Mike Tyson’s radar.

Bobby Lashley Would Fight Mike Tyson

Speaking during a K&S WrestleFest signing, Lashley revealed he was offered a fight with Tyson “several months back.” Although it seems an agreement wasn’t reached at the time, Lashley said he would like to take the fight.

“I was offered a Mike Tyson fight also. I was offered Mike Tyson several months back. I was like, ‘Hmm, that would be a good fight.’ People asked me the same question, ‘Can I beat Mike Tyson?’ I’m not going to say, ‘Oh yeah, I can beat Mike Tyson,’ but I would like to do the fight. That’s what it’s all about to me. As a competitor, as a fighter, I’m going to take a fight that comes my way. If it makes sense, I’ll do it,”

Since leaving WWE Lashley has claimed he’s agreed to make his boxing debut against an unnamed opponent. Meanwhile, Tyson is due to face Jake Paul on November 15th, and despite the star now being in his late 50s, the fight will be a sanctioned professional bout.
