A former WWE star recently let go by the company has resurfaced with a new name in Tony Khan’s Ring of Honor.

In recent months WWE have brought back cuts to its roster with the likes of Jinder Mahal, Cameron Grimes, and Xia Li being let go from their deals.

Fightful Select first reported that SCRYPTS would not be offered a new deal by WWE and his contract with the company expired in June. It was believed at the time that the star would continue his career under the name Sidney Akeem and that now has proven to be the case.

ROH Debut For Ex-WWE Star

The former WWE star made his debut for Ring of Honor as Sidney Akeem on the 11th of August television tapings for the brand. Akeem lost to another ex-WWE star in Johnny TV in a match that will air in the future on Honor Club.

SCRYPTS joined the sports entertainment giant in 2020 and performed under the name Reginald before this was shortened to Reggie and was originally the sommelier to Carmella on TV. The star was never presented as more than a comedy character on the main roster although he did win the 24/7 Title on 4 occasions before moving to NXT in 2022.
