Ex-WWE Star Believes Company Mishandled Karrion Kross’ Faction

Karrion Kross Scarlett WWE

Karrion Kross was released from WWE on August 10, 2025, amid surprising circumstances.

New updates have revealed that Kross and his wife, Scarlett, remain actively involved in wrestling and are eager for future opportunities. Both have expressed frustration over their WWE tenures’ abrupt end and lack of storyline closure. Since leaving WWE, Kross has stayed candid about his experience, emphasizing his desire to return to WWE with Scarlett as a powerful duo.

During his time in WWE, Karrion Kross was part of The Final Testament faction. The stable formed in mid-2023 was a dark, mysterious group led by Kross and Scarlett. The group, which also included Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar) and Paul Ellering, was seen as a spiritual successor to The Wyatt Family in terms of vibe and presence.

The faction disbanded in February 2025 after WWE stopped pushing the group, and members were quietly separated on different storylines. Despite brief on-screen highlights, the faction never reached its expected potential in the WWE landscape.

In a recent interview with THE HANNIBAL TV, WWE legend Paul Ellering shared his thoughts on the fate of The Final Testament faction. He praised the recently released WWE star and his wife’s on-screen chemistry, meanwhile, criticizing the WWE writers for poorly handling the Final Testament storyline.

“No, I didn’t think it did either… I thought the writers could have done more with it. There was a lot to do, especially with The Wyatt Family, and the timing was right. It just never got the push that it deserved, and Karrion (Kross), he’s a tremendous talent, very good on the mic, and Scarlett and him make a good combination, great pair and they’ll do well in the business no matter what they do, because there’s a lot of talent there,” he said.

Karrion Kross Is Hopeful For A WWE Return

While many fans assumed Karrion Kross and Scarlett’s release was part of a storyline “work,” The Herald of Doomsday himself clarified in a lengthy discussion on The Ariel Helwani Show that the departure was genuine. Kross reflected on his frustrations during the conversation and confessed that he would like to return to WWE.

“I would prefer to go back home with my wife and let’s give people what they want. Home meaning WWE. Despite the fact it’s been frustrating, I still want to go back.”
