Ex-WWE Star Has No Plans To Retire Soon
A recently released WWE star won’t be hanging up his boots anytime soon.
In February, Cedric Alexander was released from his WWE contract along with the Authors of Pain, Blair Davenport, and Sonya Deville.
Alexander had been with the company for over eight years and is a former Cruiserweight Champion as well as having held the Raw Tag Team Championships alongside Shelton Benjamin when both were in the Hurt Business.
With his 90-day non-compete clause now expired, Alexander’s fans are wondering what will come next for the star. Speaking on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, he confirmed he will continue in pro-wrestling, saying he believes he can add a lot to “a weekly product.”
“100%. I feel like I have a lot to add to a weekly product.”
Making clear his goal is to get back on TV, Alexander pointed out that most of his career has been in front of the camera.
“I’ve wrestled for about 16 years now, since 2009. I made my TV debut for Ring of Honor two years after that, so I’ve essentially been wrestling on TV my entire career.”
“I definitely feel like I have a lot to offer in terms of a weekly television show, whatever show that may be.”
Cedric Alexander Teased AEW Move After WWE Release
Shortly after being released, Cedric Alexander hinted at signing with AEW. The star posted a picture of his action figure alongside MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Bobby Lashley’s Hurt Syndicate figures.
