Ex-WWE Star Comments On Hall Of Fame Induction
An ex-WWE star has spoken about their recent induction into the Hall of Fame.
Mickie James was announced as an inductee into the 2025 TNA Hall of Fame for her contributions to the pro wrestling industry. She will be inducted at Bound for Glory on October 12.
James began her career in 1999 as a valet in the independent circuit, before training to become a full-time wrestler.
Prior to debuting in WWE, she worked in Ring of Honor, which allowed her to sign with Total Nonstop Action (TNA). Between 2002 and 2003, she made various appearances on TNA.
She made her debut in the Stamford promotion in October 2005 as Trish Stratus’ biggest fan. What started as a blooming friendship turned sour due to James’ obsessive nature.
The two subsequently fought in multiple matches, their biggest culminating at WrestleMania 22, which James won to win her first Women’s Championship.
Mickie James had other notable feuds in WWE, including with Lita, Beth Phoenix, and Michelle McCool, before departing in 2010.
She returned to the promotion in 2016, but was released in 2021 along with several talents. Her release was especially controversial due to the manner in which it happened, resulting in the firing of a senior employee.
Former WWE Star Mickie James Thanks TNA For HOF Induction
Other than WWE, Mickie James has a storied tenure with TNA.
She is a five-time Impact Knockouts World Champion, her last title win coming at 2023 Hard To Kill in a Title vs. Career match against Jordynne Grace.
While serving as the TNA Champion the previous year, she also competed in the 2022 Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant.
After the Hall of Fame announcement, James took to X to express her gratitude.
I don’t even know what to say today. Thank you @ThisIsTNA and my whole TNA Family for always believing in me and letting me shine so bright. I’m incredibly honored. I love you. See you at #BFG ♥️ #HOFCountry
