One former WWE star has taken full blame after a scary spot at TNA Slammiversary almost ended in serious injury.

At the June TNA TV tapings, Mustafa Ali was about to take out his former associate John Skyler with a steel chair. Cedric Alexander’s music hit as the former WWE star made his debut in the company, but rather than attack Ali, he seemingly tried to reason with him. Ali left as the rest of the Order Four group stood in the ring with Alexander.

Alexander’s interference in Ali’s business led to the two stars facing off against each other at Slammiversary. And it was during this match that disaster was narrowly avoided.

At one point, while Cedric Alexander was distracted by Ali’s Secret Service members, allowing Mustafa Ali to try and nail his opponent with a dive to the outside of the ring. Ali clipped the top of Alexander, sailing over his head and then crashing headfirst to the floor with none of the Secret Service attempting to catch him.

This caused uproar on social media with fans pointing fingers, but Ali won’t let anyone else take the blame.

Ex-WWE Star Mustafa Ali Takes The Blame For Nasty Landing

Taking to social media, the former X-Division Champion explained that it was his fault that the dive went wrong, but despite the frightening landing, he was okay:

Appreciate everyone’s concern. Unfortunately, I have to pull the curtain back here because the talent ringside was absolutely not responsible for that scary fall in any way and they are getting all the blame. They did exactly what they were instructed to do. I tried to do a variation of a dive and simply slipped off my opponent. No one to blame but me. I am all good. See ya on #TNAiMPACT
