Former TNA Knockouts Champion Trinity has given the clearest indication yet that she is set to make her expected return to WWE.
Naomi and Sasha Banks infamously walked out of WWE in May 2022 and have gone on to have notable careers outside the company. Banks became Mercedes Mone and headed to Japan where she held the IWGP Women’s Championship. Injury has kept her out of the ring since May 2023 but it is widely believed that Mercedes Mone is heading to AEW imminently.
Naomi on the other hand went to IMPACT Wrestling – now known as TNA – where she became Trinity. There she captured the Knockouts Championship and held that gold until losing it to Jordynne Grace at Hard To Kill. That loss all but confirmed to some that Trinity was heading back to WWE.
Trinity Expected To Return To WWE
Trinity has now competed in two more matches for TNA that will air and after her latest, she cut an emotional promo which many believe was her farewell to the company and its fans:
Coming to TNA has been life-changing for me, both inside and outside the ring. I feel honored to work with such a strong division and an incredible group of women.
Wow, what a champion we have here on our hands! (gestures to Jordynne Grace, crowd chants ‘Jordan’) And when all of y’all think of TNA, I want you to think of me. Trini-TNA! Thank you for coming out, we love you!
