An Attitude Era favourite remains under WWE contract.

Although he began training as a professional wrestler in 1988, Ken Shamrock initially found fame as part of the fledgling Ultimate Fighting Championship MMA promotion in 1993.

Shamrock quickly established himself as one of the stars of the burgeoning MMA scene and began working with the WWF in 1997 with the nickname “The World’s Most Dangerous Man.”

Over the next two years, Shamrock won the King of the Ring tournament, and the Intercontinental and World Tag Team Titles. However, frustrated with creative, the star left the company in late 1999. Although he later wrestled for the likes of ROH, NJPW, and TNA, as well as returning to MMA, he never returned to WWE.

Despite this, it was reported in December 2023 that Ken Shamrock had signed a WWE Legends contract, leading many to speculate that a Hall of Fame induction would eventually follow.

Ken Shamrock Under WWE Contract

During a new interview with Chris Van Vliet, Shamrock confirmed he retains a good relationship with WWE and is still under contract.

“I’ve had a relationship with them forever. Even since I went away. We did a Legends Contract. It’s one of those things where I think I spent enough time there and did enough there where I feel like I’m part of that family forever,”

When asked to confirm he was signed to a Legends deal, Shamrock said that he is.

“I am, yes. They’re constantly always putting stuff out. It’s been a good thing.”

In recent weeks and months, the likes of Armando Alejandro Estrada, Victoria, Jacqueline Moore, and Jesse Ventura have agreed similar contracts.

During the same interview, Ken Shamrock revealed he turned down a spot in the infamous Brawl For All tournament. The star explained it would have gone against the work he’d done to gain the trust of the locker room.
