Ex-WWE Star Competes In First Match Since Release

One former WWE star is now back in the wrestling ring for the first time since receiving their release from the company in 2023.

The last mass release in WWE took place in September 2023 shortly after the Endeavor takeover of WWE was completed.

Several stars including Matt Riddle, Dolph Ziggler, and Dana Brooke were let go from their deals but among the releases was also the forgotten star Elias. Elias only appeared on WWE television nine times in 2023, losing every bout he was a part of. The last time he appeared was on the 15th of May edition of Raw where he was part of a battle royal to find a new number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship. Incidentally, that match was won by Mustafa Ali who was also let go by WWE in September 2023.

Elias Moves On From WWE Career

Now the man best known as Elias – and briefly infamously known as Ezekiel – goes by Elijah and he has now competed in his first match outside WWE since 2013.

Elijah took on Speedball Mike Bailey at Wrestling Revolver’s Whatashow event with Bailey picking up the win. There were plenty of other ex-WWE stars on the show with Lio Rush, Zachary Wentz, Mansoor, Marina Shafir, and the Grizzled Young Vets all in action.
