Ex-WWE Star Blasts TKO: “Your Product S*cks”
WWE merged with UFC in September 2023 to form a new company called TKO Group Holdings.
Since the merger, TKO has pushed WWE to prioritize profits over tradition, accessibility, and fan loyalty, and the company is all about business now.
Ticket prices have shot up like crazy, about 60% in just one year. What used to be a friends and family outing has turned into this luxury thing that a lot of longtime fans simply can’t afford anymore.
People are annoyed by the constant push for more money. Plus, the storytelling and character vibes have taken a serious backseat, according to the general consensus.
The real kicker came when WWE announced that WrestleMania is moving to Saudi Arabia in 2027. For years, WrestleMania was a huge American tradition, so moving it out of the country felt like WWE totally sold out.
The bottom line is that fans are upset because they feel the company is prioritizing money over the community, tradition, and accessibility that made WWE special.
The WWE Universe feels TKO cares more about stacking profits than actually keeping WWE’s heart and soul alive. Many big names in the wrestling world share the same sentiment, and ex-WWE star Stevie Richards is one of them.
Ex-WWE Star Isn’t Happy With TKO’s Product
Speaking on the latest episode of his podcast, he blasted TKO for their new approach that has caused major disappointment among the WWE Universe.
Hey, by the way, the TKO just like Vince did in a lot of ways. They think they’re the baby faces. They think they’re doing the people a favor. They think what they have is great. Your product sucks. How’s that? (From 18:37)
