Ex-WWE Star Unrecognizable 6 Years After Last Appearance

A former WWE wrestler who won a championship looks a lot different than when they appeared on television.

One of the most unique matches took place at WWE WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans in 2018 when The Bar’s Sheamus & Cesaro defended the Raw Tag Team Titles against Braun Strowman and a partner of his choice.

Rather than picking another wrestler to be his partner, the “Monster Among Men” Strowman picked out a kid from the crowd to be his partner. The kid was named Nicholas.

The match saw Strowman work the entire thing and while there were teases of Nicholas getting involved, it didn’t happen. Strowman got the win as he and Nicholas became the Raw Tag Team Champions.

On the following episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Strowman & Nicholas were forced to relinquish the Raw Tag Team Titles due to Nicholas being in the fourth grade.

The kid that was chosen for the match is Nicholas Cone, who is the son of former WWE referee John Cone. While Cone no longer referees in WWE, he works in the talent relations department of the company.

What Does Former WWE Tag Team Champion Nicholas Look Like Now?

As you can see below, the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast, which is run by former WWE stars Matt Cardona & Brian Myers, shared a photo of Nicholas wearing his own shirt while holding a WWE action figure. Young Nicholas has grown up from when he won the Tag Team Titles with Braun Strowman in 2018.

As for Braun Strowman, he had major neck surgery in June 2023 and it was estimated at the time that he would likely miss about a year of action in WWE, which means he could be set for a return in the months ahead.
