Ex-WWE Star On Real-Life Heat With Roman Reigns: “I’d Beat The Hell Out Of Him”

Roman Reigns

A former WWE superstar upset Roman Reigns when talking about what a potential fight between them would look like.

Matt Riddle is a former WWE US Champion and Tag Team Champion who was one of the most popular wrestlers in the company. Riddle was released in September 2023 after some strange behavior out of the ring.

Since Riddle was a successful MMA fighter who fought in the UFC before he became a wrestler and eventually a WWE superstar, he also had a rep for speaking his mind about anybody and anything at any time.

In his post-WWE life, Riddle still isn’t afraid to hold back since he recently made some interesting remarks about Roman Reigns.

While speaking to TMZ Sports, Riddle upset Roman Reigns by making comments that he thinks he would beat up Reigns if they had a real fight.

“They asked me to talk crap about Roman and I told everybody, ‘Hey, you might beat me in the ring, but if we were in the cage or in the street, I’d beat the hell out of him. And he knows that and I know that and everybody else knows that. And Roman got upset about that.”

During Roman Reigns’ 1,316-day run as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Reigns faced Riddle on the June 17, 2022, edition of SmackDown. Reigns got the win in the match.

What Was Roman Reigns’ Favorite WWE Moment?

Speaking of that long title reign from August 2020 to April 2024, Roman Reigns went with that when asked to name the greatest moment of his WWE career so far.

“My 1,316-day title reign. I can’t just pick one, there were so many moments in that. Just that reign alone is unprecedented.”

Considering how epic that title reign was, it’s easy to see why Reigns would have a tough time narrowing it down to just one moment.

Roman Reigns is expected to return to WWE television on the August 18th and August 25th episodes of WWE Monday Night Raw. His return on those shows should lead to Reigns being a part of the Clash in Paris card on August 31st in France.
