Ex-WWE Manager Makes Shocking Ronda Rousey Prediction
A former WWE manager has had their say on how Ronda Rousey would fare if she makes her next expected career move.
Ronda Rousey dominated the sport of MMA for several years, racking up win after win until she came up against a dominant Holly Holm in 2015. Rousey returned to the Octagon after her first loss the following year against Amanda Nunes, but the magic was gone, and Nunes made quick work of Rousey.
Ronda Rousey parlayed that success into a run in WWE that began in 2018 and culminated in her headlining WrestleMania 35 with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. Rousey returned to WWE in 2022 but was done with the company again in 2023. After her second exit, Rousey had nothing good to say about former WWE boss Vince McMahon.
Now, it’s been rumoured that Rousey could be set to fight again, this time in a boxing ring against former Unified World Lightweight Champion Katie Taylor.
Ronda Rousey Looking To Get Back In The Ring?
That idea has already been publicly lambasted as a very bad one for Rousey, who would stand next to no chance at being competitive with Taylor in a boxing match. And it seems a former WWE star agrees with that assessment.
Speaking on Story Time, former WWE manager Dutch Mantell said he thinks it’d be a good payday for Rousey, but that’s about it:
If she can’t box, she’s gonna have the same result she had with Holly Holm. Holly Holm ended up knocking her out, and if this girl, if she’s 26-1, she’s pretty damn good. And so I think boxing, you just can’t leave boxing and just quit boxing, I don’t think, and come back and start boxing.
It’s like doing anything else, any kind of physical sport. You cannot just leave it and come back and pick it up, and you have the same ability as you had before. Doesn’t work that way. But I think it’s good for her for a payday, and I think she’s going to lose.
