Ex-WWE Star Upset About Being Left Out Of Video Package
A former WWE superstar expressed his displeasure about being left out of a recent historical video package.
There was a sense of nostalgia this week at WWE NXT Homecoming because the black and gold brand returned “home” to Full Sail University in Orlando.
When Triple H ran NXT from the early 2010s, the usual location for their shows was Full Sail University in Orlando. That changed in the early 2020s when NXT’s home moved to the WWE Performance Center, which is also in Orlando.
As part of the episode, former NXT stars were in action like Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer, Lyra Valkyria, Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Carmelo Hayes, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and others.
To open the show, there was a fantastic video about the history of NXT that lasted about four minutes and showed a lot of familiar faces from the past.
From era to era, and generation to generation, one thing has remained the same…

However, there was one former WWE superstar who took issue with not being featured in the video.
Baron Corbin Wonders Why He Was Left Off Historic WWE NXT Video Package
After a 12 year run in WWE, Baron Corbin’s run with the company ended in November 2024 when it was revealed that his contract was going to expire, and it wasn’t going to be renewed. Since departing WWE, Corbin has used the name ‘The Nomad’ Bishop Dyer in pro wrestling while competing in multiple promotions. He’s also a co-host on Pro Wrestling Nation radio using his real name Tom Pestock.
In Corbin’s early days of WWE, he was a dominant force in NXT who won matches quickly. The matches were so quick that fans would count how long it would take for him to win with his End of Days finishing move. Corbin also returned to NXT for another run over a decade later when he teamed up with Bron Breakker to become NXT Tag Team Champions.
During an episode of Off The Ropes with Jonathan Coachman where they recapped NXT Homecoming, the former Corbin admitted he was a little butthurt about being left out of that cool WWE NXT video package.
“So, in brutal honesty, I was a little butthurt about the whole thing. That opening package they did for the show was super dope, and they had a lot of superstars from the past, the middle and the present on it, and I didn’t make the cut. My T-shirt did, somebody was wearing a Baron Corbin T-shirt but, I was a little butthurt in that aspect and I know it’s still fresh in WWE, being as I finished up in January and sometimes you gotta kinda give it a year or so before they start acknowledging your existence again.
But with that show, I was a main staple in the beginning of NXT, when they were counting the seconds to my matches. I was one of the originators who helped grow that brand. I was on every show. I was on the first live one in Brooklyn with 16,000 fans. So I was a little butthurt.
Once I got over that, I thought the show was awesome. I even texted (Johnny) Russo, the writer, and I was like, ‘Yo, Mojo Rawley makes the cut of the video and I don’t?’ I was, like I said, a little butthurt. He goes, ‘He was in the Camel Clutch.’ ‘I don’t care, he made it!’”
