Another Ex-WWE Figure Joining Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff
An ex-WWE figure is working with Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan.
Back in May, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff announced the launch of Real American Freestyle Wrestling. The duo subsequently announced they would be working with MMA veteran and highly-regarded coach Izzy Martinez.
The promotion is set to hold its inaugural event on August 30, and several acclaimed freestyle wrestlers will be involved.
Speaking on the latest episode of his Behind The Lens podcast, former WWE and TNA producer David Sahadi confirmed he’s now working with the promotion. He added that he’ll be heading up the production when the promotion makes its debut.
“I am both honored and humbled that Eric chose me to head up the production for RAF’s first-ever live event in Cleveland on August 30. We have assembled the greatest production team in combat fights to present civilization’s oldest sport in a unique, modern, and creative way with state-of-the-art technology. It’s going to be fascinating!
When Eric first called and described his vision for how he wanted to present freestyle wrestling to a bigger audience, I was enthralled. I truly believe Eric’s vision will appeal to not only the purist of freestyle fans, but a mainstream audience as well. It will be captivating!”
Kurt Angle Signs Up With Hulk Hogan
The news comes after it was announced that Kurt Angle had joined Real American Freestyle Wrestling as a commentator.
In a press release confirming the news, Angle said he’s delighted to be involved, given his extensive background in freestyle wrestling. He added that he’s excited to bring freestyle wrestling to audiences around the world.
