Ex-WWE Name Wants Comeback After 23 Years Because of Goldberg & Bron Breakker

This week’s Monday Night RAW delivered back-to-back chaos, with two of WWE’s most explosive athletes nearly ripping through the ring.

Bron Breakker decimated Sami Zayn with three brutal spears to score a dominant win. Later in the show, Goldberg stormed the ring to confront Gunther and nearly flattened him with a spear of his own, but the Ring General narrowly escaped the WWE Hall of Famer.

The energy was high, the crowd was wild, and all anyone could talk about afterward was the “Battle of the Spear.” And no one’s hyping it more than ex-WWE writer Vince Russo, who went on record with a bold offer.

Ex-WWE Name Would Pay To Be Part of Goldberg & Bron Breakker’s Face-Off

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW, Russo pitched a wild scenario and made it clear just how committed he is to seeing it unfold.

“This show was the battle of the Spear. Because, between Goldberg and Bron Breakker, both delivering the same exact move on the same exact show, probably an hour apart,” Russo said. “Then you’ve gotta rate them now because they both did it. How was one better than the other?”

But he didn’t stop there. He suggested that he’s ready to return to WWE after 23 years and pay the company to appoint him as the referee if they hold a spear-off battle between Goldberg and Breakker. Russo had a brief run with the company in 2002.

“I am talking about a Spear off. No match, just take turns Spearing. You get all of the cards. 10, 8… A Spear off on next week’s show,” he joked. “I would pay them. I literally would pay them. I would take all my retirement money. You know I got a nice Airbnb. I’d mortgage the Airbnb. Please make it happen.” [H/T Sportskeeda]

Goldberg is currently scheduled to face Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event in what’s being billed as his final match. As for Breakker, he’s in the thick of a high-profile storyline with Seth Rollins.
