Ex-WWE Star Wants CM Punk Or Chris Jericho At Forbidden Door
Forbidden Door is on the horizon once again as the stars of AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling do battle, and now one NJPW star has called out either CM Punk or Chris Jericho for the event.
Speaking to The Wrstling Podcast, NJPW STRONG star Fred Rosser – who competed in WWE as Darren Young – revealed who he’d want to face on the Forbidden Door show and he’s looking for a full circle moment with CM Punk:
“Hm, who would I like to wrestle from their side? That’s a good question, I’m just focused with New Japan. Who would I want to wrestle? I’d wanna wrestle Chris Jericho, CM Punk, it would be full circle with CM Punk, he was my coach on the original NXT, which was like a game show, which I hated.
“He pretty much hated doing it too, during the time we didn’t really say two words to one another. Full circle, I’m a lot older, I’m a lot wiser. I’m like wine, I age gracefully with time. I definitely feel like working against [either of them], Jericho or CM Punk, would help elevate me.”
The latest update on Punk and AEW is that there have been productive talks between both sides ahead of Tony Khan revealing where the debut episode of Collision will take place.
