Ex-WWE Champion’s Shocking Exit Is Real, Not Storyline
One WWE star’s career is definitely over, despite suggestions that their exit is all part of the show.
Former NXT Champion Karrion Kross departed WWE with his wife, Scarlett, on August 10 after their contracts came to an end.
Kross claimed that he had been offered a new deal, but it was pulled from the table after Kross asked questions about how the company arrived at their financial offer to him. Karrion Kross also claimed he was not allowed to discuss his situation with Triple H, as a go-between stepped in, with Kross stopped from talking to the WWE CCO.
Despite all of this, there has been rampant speculation that Karrion Kross and Scarlett’s exit has been an elaborate work. Kross noted that he believes this has stopped some companies from reaching out to him regarding bookings, as they think he’s still in cahoots with WWE.
Karrion Kross’ WWE Exit Is Not A Work
But this is now apparently not the case at all.
In a Fightful Select Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp cleared up the situation surrounding Karrion Kross, claiming his exit from WWE is “absolutely not a work.” It was noted that Kross’ expletive-laden promo after WrestleMania was but nothing else surrounding his departure from the company is anything but reality. However, it was also claimed that it could be turned into a work if WWE re-sign Kross in the future.
Karrion Kross will be back in the ring for DEFY on September 19 and will take on Richard Holliday in another match just days later. With him taking bookings back on the independent scene, it seems less and less likely that he is on the verge of a return to WWE anytime soon.
