Ex-WWE Champion Vows To Dethrone John Cena At SummerSlam

John Cena has become almost everyone’s target, especially since he has been claiming that he will retire with the Undisputed WWE Championship.

So far, he has successfully defended the championship against Randy Orton, and will defend it against CM Punk at Night of Champions.

It seems that The Franchise Player’s challengers have already started to form a queue, and former champion Randy Orton has expressed his desire to defeat The Champ.

Randy Orton wants to re-open the chapter with John Cena

After defeating The Viper at Backlash 2025, John Cena revealed that the chapter with Randy Orton was over. Keeping that in mind, fans knew there wouldn’t be a rematch for this glorious 25-year rivalry that had given quite a few memorable matches to the WWE Universe.

During the SummerSlam 2025 kick-off show, The Viper was asked whether he would rather face Cody Rhodes or Jey Uso in the King of the Ring finals at Night of Champions. While he ultimately chose Cody Rhodes, the ultimate goal was to defeat whoever he faced in the finals so he can get his hands on John Cena again.

I have also said it few times in the past few weeks, I will do whatever it takes to get to John Cena, beat John Cena and get number 15 around my waist.

The winner of the King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring tournaments will receive the chance to challenge a world champion for SummerSlam 2025, which also happens to b the first-time ever WWE will stretch the event across 2 nights.
