Ex-WWE Champion Claims Working With Triple H Hurt His Career
A former champion in WWE has claimed that working with Triple H did more harm than good to their career.
Triple H might be WWE’s top boss of creative these days, but in years gone by, he was a WWE Superstar who had an awful lot of sway with his former boss and father-in-law, Vince McMahon.
That sway could make or break careers, and while those close to The Game flourished in the company, those who weren’t often suffered.
WWE Career Suffered After Triple H Match
Speaking to former ECW star Shane Douglas, former WWE US Champion Mr Kennedy – now best known as Ken Anderson – discussed why he felt his WWE career started on its downward spiral after he got in the ring with Triple H:
Kane, Undertaker, Batista, Finley, Booker T, Rey Mysterio were all at the top of the mountain and they were throwing rope ladders over the side. Every single one of those guys would pull me aside after I’d come back from my match and help me.
On the RAW side, guys were dumping buckets of hot oil over the side and kicking boulders down and stuff… I had no problems with all these guys and then suddenly I worked Triple H on a house show.
It was like I went from being able to work to being too stiff and being too clunky and difficult to work with. It was really weird and frustrating. Everything was awesome when I was first there but the last year and a half was miserable for me.
