One former WWE champion has revealed that they suffered bullying and hazing at the hands of other stars in the company.

During the 2010s, Kaitlyn was a key part of WWE’s women’s division although her time at the top proved to be short-lived with one reign as WWE Divas Champion. The star is best known for her lengthy rivalry with AJ Lee over that title, with Lee being Kaitlyn’s final opponent before her departure in 2014.

Kaitlyn returned to wrestling in 2018, competing on the independent scene and briefly returning to WWE to compete in the Mae Young Classic. After defeating Kavita Devi in the first round, Kaitlyn was eliminated from the tournament by Michin.

But it seems her time in WWE the first time around wasn’t all plain sailing.

Hazing & Bullying Directed At Kaitlyn In WWE

Speaking to MuscleManMalcolm, Kaitlyn explained that she suffered some bullying at the hands of some of WWE’s other female stars as she explained why she wasn’t featured on the company’s Total Divas reality show:

I think part of it was I never was super close with a lot of the divas there. Sometimes I got bullied a little bit when I was new and I think it’s because just the way that I came up. I came up really fast. I had an amazing opportunity to start without any experience.

So I went through a little bit of hazing and bullying from some of the divas, but for the majority of the ones that were on the show, they were all super cool with me. But I think I just kind of wasn’t in the clique. I didn’t know how to be.

I was so young and I was still developing my character as a person in real life. So I don’t know, and I think I also didn’t have the confidence that I do now to put myself in situations to be on a show like that. So I don’t know.

Kaitlyn has previously expressed she is open to a Royal Rumble return in WWE but to date that has never happened.
