Ex-WWE Champion Reveals Scrapped Romantic Storyline With Alexa Bliss

A former champion was supposed to be caught kissing Alexa Bliss backstage as part of a scrapped WWE storyline.

Enzo Amore signed with the Stamford-based company in 2012. Four years later, he made his main roster debut alongside his tag team partner Big Cass.

The 38-year-old’s run on the main roster lasted nearly two years before he was released from his contract in 2018. During his stint in the promotion, Amore held the Cruiserweight Championship twice. The title was vacated when he was fired, as he was in his second reign.

Enzo Amore Was Booked In A Love Triangle With Alexa Bliss & Top WWE Star

In a recent interview with The John Rondi Show, Enzo Amore opened up about a love triangle storyline that he was supposed to be part of alongside Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax in early 2018.

In late 2017, The Irresistible Force showed interest in the former Cruiserweight Champion, flirting with him backstage. He revealed that Jax was supposed to catch him kissing her best friend, Alexa Bliss, backstage on the RAW 25 episode on January 22, 2018. However, the angle was dropped after he was suspended earlier that same day.

At the time, it was the biggest Monday Night RAW of all time, and I’m supposed to be wrestling my mentor’s son, Goldust. I’m the Cruiserweight Champion, and I gamble at the poker table with all these legends. And I get down to losing everything from my watch to my underwear and my Jordans. So, now I go to the ring without my title in my underwear and shoes.

And I go backstage, and Nia Jax, who I was in a storyline with, wins my cruiserweight title back for me playing poker, and when she goes backstage to find me, she finds me kissing her best friend, Alexa Bliss. And I still have the papers from that day. That never happened.

Enzo Amore dated Liv Morgan in real life before the two split in late 2017. Meanwhile, Alexa Bliss was engaged to Buddy Matthews (formerly known as Buddy Murphy) at the time the scrapped storyline would have taken place.
