An ex-WWE Champion feels they will never find a place in its Hall of Fame.

Spike Dudley was primarily a hardcore wrestler whose main role was to take bumps and put other wrestlers over.

Who can forget the three devastating powerbombs he took from Brock Lesnar during the latter’s debut that almost led to him passing out, or getting chokeslammed by The Undertaker from the ring to the floor?

In ECW, he had a similar role, but the company pivoted when he beat Bam Bam Bigelow, earning him the moniker of “The Giant Killer.”

After that, he beat several bigger stars in the company, which also included the famous Bigelow spot when the Beast from the East threw Spike into the crowd from the ring.

In WWE, he never witnessed a substantial rise, although he did unsuccessfully challenge ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin for the WWE Championship once.

During his recent appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, the former 7-time Hardcore Champion addressed a possible entry into the company’s Hall of Fame.

Sadly, he feels that the honor is not on the cards for him due to his body of work.

I have no idea, and don’t really care. That’s not for me to decide. I mean, my body of work, probably not.

It remains to be seen if World Wrestling Entertainment thinks otherwise.

Jim Ross Thinks Spike Dudley Contributed A Great Deal To WWE

Former WWE commentator was all praises for Spike Dudley during an episode of his Grilling JR podcast.

Ross, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame 2007 class, was an asset for the Stamford promotion.

He was reviewing the 2003 Unforgiven match featuring Spike, wherein he was supposed to go through a table, but only his head hit the edge of the table, and he landed flush on the floor.

What a wonderful human being he was and is. I felt essentially the same feeling that I had when Mick [Foley fell off] the Hell In A Cell in June of 1998 with Undertaker. I just didn’t think Spike could withstand it, I didn’t think any human could withstand it. But he’s tougher than a two-dollar streak. What an asset the was to our company, he contributed much more than people will ever know. Spike Dudley helped the Dudley brand, and as we know, The Dudleys became one of the most successful tag teams in all of professional wrestling.

Spike Dudley also shared his current status as a professional wrestler.
