Ex-WWE Champion Will Allegedly Never Return To The Ring
A multi-time WWE Champion has stepped away from the squared circle.
Triple H officially retired from in-ring competition in April 2022 after having serious heart issues. When fans recently chanted “One more match” to The Game at the Night of Champions Post-Show, he shut down that possibility, saying it would be the last thing he does.
Speaking on his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell addressed whether he believes Triple H would ever return to the ring.
The 75-year-old thinks The Game does not want to “press his luck” despite potentially being able to have a final match. He noted that the WWE Chief Content Officer seemingly prefers to be remembered for his previous performances rather than be judged by what he can do now at 55 years of age.
I don’t think he’s in that bad of a health condition, but I don’t think he wants to press his luck. Most of the guys in the Triple H range, they won’t mind maybe having the last match.
But it’s the performance they can put in. He’d rather be remembered for his performances already done than be judged on what he can do. [1:00:14 onwards]
Wrestling Veterans Think Triple H May Return To WWE Ring
On a recent episode of Vince Russo’s The Brand podcast, ex-WWE star Stevie Richards and wrestling veteran Bin Hamin discussed Triple H’s potential return to the ring.
While Richards predicted that The Game would be convinced to step out of retirement for one more match, Bin Hamin suggested it could happen in Saudi Arabia for “the biggest payday for one match.”
Stevie Richards: I guarantee it’s gonna be somebody ‘GOATing’ him out of retirement to do this.
Bin Hamin: First time ever. Biggest payday for one match in Saudi. How do you feel about it?
Stevie Richards: I’ll tell you what, if he wants to break Ric Flair’s heart attack record for the last match, he has a good chance of doing that.
