Ex-WWE Champion Encouraged To Sue John Cena Amid Bullying Accusations

WWE John Cena

John Cena competed in his final wrestling match to much fanfare on December 13.

While WWE was busy with match bookings for Saturday Night’s Main Event XLII and fans bought tickets, a former wrestler of the company released a video, levelling serious accusations against the 17-time world champion.

On December 5, David Otunga uploaded a video on his YouTube channel titled ‘What John Cena Was REALLY Like.’

Amid the hype surrounding Cena, the video pretty much flew under the radar, where Otunga revealed how the former world champion bullied him backstage.

His story dates back to the early 2010s when the Nexus stable was formed. The members of the group made an immediate impact by attacking Cena and several members of the staff around the ring, while destroying every material object they laid eyes on.

The storyline evolved into a scenario where John Cena joined them after losing a stipulation match to Wade Barrett.

This was followed by Otunga and Cena teaming up and winning the tag team championship, but losing it shortly on Barrett’s orders.

However, what was supposed to be a learning experience for Otunga turned into a situation where he suffered verbal and emotional assault.

Ex-WWE Manager Encourages David Otunga To Sue John Cena

During a recent episode of the Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, the legendary former WWE manager discussed David Otunga’s allegations against John Cena.

First thing I’d do if I was David Otunga, I would sue John Cena. I would go and sue the hell out of him and let him spend some money on a lawyer. Cost him some money anyway. But I don’t know. He may have just maybe not liked David for some reason, and I can’t figure out that reason. It could be anything. [7:35 onwards]

Surprisingly, David Otunga is not the only former WWE talent to accuse John Cena of mistreatment.

In the past, Ken Anderson (Mr. Kennedy) has also blamed him for costing him his job at the Stamford promotion, but over time, he accepted that he was largely at fault himself.
