Ex-WWE Champion Disappointed In Triple H For Letting Them Go
WWE released Shotzi Blackheart in early May 2025, shortly after her contract expired. The release came after she had just returned from a major ACL injury and had not been featured on WWE television for almost a year.
Speaking on Rulebreakers With Saraya, the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion expressed disappointment with her relationship with WWE Creative Content Officer Triple H. She felt that she was not given the opportunity to showcase her true talent after her comeback from the injury, and Hunter and the company “gave up” on her just as she was ready to perform at her best, leaving her story unfinished.
I had just come back from an ACL tear. So, coming back from a huge injury and not being on TV for almost a year, I was kind of not surprised. They’re just like we lasted a year without you, so we’ll just let you go now that your contract is up. In that aspect, I wasn’t really surprised. I don’t know, I always thought that Hunter really believed in me, so it was a little disappointing. Yeah, I just felt like, dang, they gave up on me.
I was in such a bad space for a few years with everything that I was going through and I was coming back from injury so much stronger, not just physically but mentally too. I was just ready to kill it coming back and I didn’t even get the opportunity to. So, I felt like they left a lot of meat on the bone, I was coming back on fire and ready to give them me, like the real me. I didn’t get the chance to show it. [H/T Covalent TV]
Shotzi Offered To Buy Her Iconic Tank From WWE After Her Departure
Additionally, Shotzi revealed that she had asked WWE to return her iconic entrance tank on SHAK Wrestling. She even offered to buy it, but WWE refused. She remains hopeful that the tank will be returned someday.
“But I’m not sure why they won’t give me the full tank back. Like, I even offered to buy it. I was like, ‘Whatever you guys want for it, I will dish it out,’ just because it means so much to me, and it was such a big part of my career, and my entrance is always such a huge deal for me.
So, yeah, I just want it back, and I know that they’re not going to use it. I’m sure it’s in the warehouse, and there’s just a bunch of stuff piled on top of it. So yeah, I’m still hoping, holding out, that they’re gonna give it back to me.” [H/T: Wrestling News]
