Ex-WWE Champion Joins CM Punk In Dropping AJ Lee Return Tease
CM Punk’s fate at Clash in Paris 2025 was altered by the arrival of a masked individual, who turned out to be Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch.
The Second City Saint entered the ring at the premium live event against Jey Uso, LA Knight, and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in a Fatal Four-Way. He was in control of the match and the momentum, and had The Visionary set up for a GTS. Had Punk been successful in executing the signature move, he would likely have walked out of the ring as the new World Heavyweight Champion.
Unfortunately for him, Becky Lynch arrived at the ring and hit him with a Low Blow, enabling Seth Rollins to hit Punk with a Stomp on the steel chair. The Man’s interference changed CM Punk’s fate, but it may have also opened up an interesting possibility of AJ Lee’s return.
CM Punk and Big E dropped hints about AJ Lee’s return to WWE
Following the match at Clash in Paris, The Best in the World walked back up the ramp while engaging with fans. He noticed a fan with a sign that urged him to bring back AJ Lee, and he stopped to interact with the suggestion for a handful of seconds.
While it is being heavily speculated that this was a major tease for the former WWE Divas Champion’s return to the global juggernaut, former WWE Champion Big E dropped a sentence that added fuel to the fire!
During the post-show, Big E noted that just like Seth Rollins has a champion of a wife, so does CM Punk.

If the clues are added up, AJ Lee’s return seems imminent. However, at this point, it is more speculative than conclusive.
AJ Lee hasn’t wrestled since 2015. Previously, CM Punk had stated that AJ Lee and he avoid two things: working out together and working together. Nevertheless, if the opportunity presents itself to write her into a role that fits her stature, it will not be overlooked.
