Ex-WWE Champion Cleared After Injury On Raw
A member of the WWE Raw roster has been cleared after being injured in a match.
The Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez is a former 6-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, and she’s also been the NXT Women’s Champion as well.
While competing in a match against Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Title on the December 15th edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, Nikki Bella showed up and threw Stephanie Vaquer into the ring post to cause the disqualification. Nikki also threw Raquel into the steel steps as payback for one week earlier.
Rodriguez hit her head hard when she hit the steel steps. On Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez explained what happened.
“Raquel got shoved into the steps. They didn’t show this, but she hit her head hard.
She got this giant goose egg on her head, so yeah, she’s in concussion protocol. That does not mean she has a concussion.
Anytime you get any sort of head injury and get a goose egg, they put you in concussion protocol just to make sure you’re okay.”
After the show, Raquel did a promo about how she would get payback, and she also showed that she had a huge bump on her forehead after hitting the steel steps.
