Ex-WWE Champion Batista Given Oscars Role
Former WWE Champion Batista will have his part to play at the 97th Academy Awards as Oscar season sweeps Hollywood.
WWE will hold Elimination Chamber on March 1 and the man who walked away from that event in 2010 with the WWE Championship despite not being part of the Chamber match itself will be busy that weekend.
Back in 2010, Vince McMahon surprised John Cena after he survived 5 top WWE stars to win the WWE Championship with an impromptu match against Batista. The Animal put Cena away in 30 seconds to win the title.
While Elimination Chamber is taking place in 2025, the man now best known as Dave Bautista will no doubt be preparing for the Academy Awards on March 2.
Batista Presenting At 97th Oscars
The Academy named the WWE star turned actor among the fourth slate of presenters for the 97th Oscars alongside Hollywood greats such as Harrison Ford, Gal Gadot, Andrew Garfield, Samuel L. Jackson, Margaret Qualley, Alba Rohrwacher, Zoe Saldaña, and Rachel Zegler.

Since calling time on his WWE career, Dave Bautista has earned his stripes as an actor in Hollywood. Bautista will star in the upcoming sci-fi thriller Dreadnought.
Batista competed in his final WWE match at WrestleMania 35 where he lost to long-time mentor Triple H. His induction into the WWE Hall of Fame was abandoned due to COVID and he is yet to be inducted as a result.
