Ex-WWE Star Bobby Lashley Can’t Control Wrestling Future
He might be a former WWE Champion but Bobby Lashley knows his future in the wrestling business can’t be controlled by him.
Bobby Lashley’s departure from WWE was confirmed on August 16th, after the star had already announced he’d be making his boxing debut against an unnamed opponent in the coming months. However, he quickly added that this didn’t mean his wrestling career was over.
It was reported that Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin have held talks with AEW. However, there’s no word on whether a deal has been signed or is even close.
Now speaking on his YouTube channel, Bobby Lashley has touched on his future in the wrestling business while giving no indication as to where he is going to end up:
I’ve seen some of the articles about what I’m going to do. Is it WWE, TNA, and AEW? I can’t control any of that. But the one thing I can control is how to prepare. I’m ready for anything.
Bobby Lashley Reforming The Hurt Business?
In recent weeks, MVP has been trademarking several phrases and names for wrestling use, while a group listed as Totally Harmless Concept LLC filed to trademark “The Hurt Syndicate.” Lashley, MVP, Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander were famously known as The Hurt Business while with WWE.
However, if the group does continue in AEW it will do so without Alexander after he re-signed with WWE earlier in 2024.
