Ex-WWE Announcer Makes Surprise AEW Debut
Ex-WWE announcer JoJo Offerman made a surprise appearance at a recent AEW show.
The 30 year-old former WWE ring announcer originally rose to prominence on WWE reality show Total Divas, featuring alongside the likes of the Bella Twins, Naomi and Natalya as the curtain was pulled back on the lives of the company’s female Superstars.
Offerman would enjoy a brief in-ring career before transitioning to the role of ring announcer in NXT. Promotion to the main roster followed with the Los Angeles-born star becoming a regular face on Raw, SmackDown and Premium Live Events whilst also occasionally serving as a backstage interviewer.
The popular star drifted away from WWE television in 2018 after falling pregnant with the first of two children shared with former WWE Champion, Bray Wyatt.
JoJo was quietly released by the company in 2021, two years before the tragic passing of partner Bray Wyatt.
Despite occasional convention appearances, Offerman had not been linked with a return so it came as a surprise to fans when she served as the ring announcer for a dark match at the AEW Collision taping in Charlotte, North Carolina on 4th January 2025.
AEW have yet to comment on the appearance, so it remains to be seen if Offerman will be offered a deal with the company.
WWE Superstar Could Be Set For In-Ring Return
Another WWE personality connected with Bray Wyatt could be set to return to the ring after nearly two years away.
Alexa Bliss enjoyed a long-standing association with ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt and was in the late Superstar’s corner when he took on ‘The Viper’ Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37.
Bliss has recently teased a return to WWE television with many speculating that the former Raw Women’s Champion could become the newest member of the Wyatt Sicks faction, with the comeback potentially occurring as soon as the 6th January edition of Raw.
The much-anticipated episode marks the company’s debut on streaming giant, Netflix.
