Ex-World Champion Set For WWE SmackDown Debut Next Week
WWE SmackDown has recently seen many stars make surprise appearances on the show. Former United States Champion Zack Ryder recently made a one-off appearance on the show during the ‘Last Time is Now’ tournament.
Moreover, the brand has also seen some NXT names make appearances on the show in the recent past. Lash Legend made the jump up from the black and silver brand just ahead of last month’s Survivor Series.
Current NXT Champion Oba Femi also appeared on the SmackDown before this weekend’s Saturday Night’s Main Event, while Je’Von Evans wrestled The Miz on the same show. Now, The A-Lister is set for another match against an NXT superstar next week.
Joe Hendry to face The Miz on WWE SmackDown next week
Former TNA World Champion Joe Hendry made a surprise appearance during John Cena’s retirement show this past Saturday Night. He got into an altercation with The A-Lister after Miz screwed his chances of getting in the ‘Last Time is Now’ tournament.
Miz tried to attack Hendry on the show, but he planted The Miz with the Standing Ovation, before hitting him with the five knuckle shuffle as an homage to John Cena.

Following their altercation at SNME, The Miz went up to Nick Aldis and asked for a match with Hendry on next week’s episode of SmackDown, and it was made official by the SmackDown General Manager.
