Who is AEW’s Hulk Hogan?
On July 24, Hulk Hogan passed away at his home in Clearwater, Florida, at the age of 71.
The WWE Hall of Famer is widely regarded as one of the biggest and most important figures in professional wrestling history. He helped catapult the WWF to a whole new level in the 1980s, before doing the same for WCW in 1996.
During an episode of his What Happened When podcast, Tony Schiavone and Conrad Thompson discussed Hogan’s impact on the industry. The pair also questioned who, if anyone, would be AEW’s Hulk Hogan.

Hulk Hogan’s Cause Of Death Revealed
On July 31, it was reported that Hulk Hogan died following a heart attack, with the report noting that he had a history of heart-related issues. It was also confirmed that the star had a history of leukemia, something that hadn’t previously been public knowledge.
The legend died from an acute myocardial infarction — commonly known as a heart attack — which is when blood flow to the heart muscle is suddenly blocked, causing tissue damage, per the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center…
Hogan had a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib), which is a heart condition characterized by an irregular and often rapid heart rate.
Per the records, the former WWE Superstar also had a history of leukemia, CLL, a type of cancer that affects white blood cells called lymphocytes.
WWE paid tribute to Hogan on SmackDown, Raw, and NXT, holding a ten-bell salute on each show. Meanwhile, Tony Schiavone delivered AEW’s tribute during Collision on July 26.
