This former TNA star has been a controversial figure backstage.

Third-generation wrestler and former TNA World Champion, Tessa Blanchard, came under fire in 2020 for allegations that she was a bully backstage and even made racist remarks towards her colleague La Rosa Negra.

Other notable wrestling stars who claimed that Blanchard did not have professional conduct and furiously took to X/Twitter to speak out in support of La Rosa Negra included Allisin Kay and WWE superstar Chelsea Green.

The posts from the aforementioned female wrestlers and others made it abundantly clear that Blanchard had indeed spat on Negra’s face and called her the N-word, but Blanchard denied the allegations.

Blanchard, who had stepped away from wrestling following the allegations, returned to TNA in 2024. Commenters on X/Twitter have been lashing out at her for her racial conduct and denial of the same. To one commenter, Blanchard responded, saying that she has made plenty of mistakes in her life, but the incident everyone is riled up about from 10 years ago, she says, is something people have gotten twisted.

Another user asked, “Aren’t you racist?” to which Blanchard snapped back by replying, “Nope. Never have been. Let’s move the hell on”.

A third-generation professional wrestler, Blanchard is the daughter of Tully Blanchard and, granddaughter of wrestling promoter Joe Blanchard. She was trained by George South and the Dudley Boys.
