Ex-TNA World Champion Could Leave Company In 2025
Another top TNA star is in a contract year.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, Steve Maclin’s TNA contract runs until December 2025. Maclin is a former World Champion, having been with the company since 2021.
Back in April, Maclin became the first-ever International Champion after overcoming AJ Francis and Eric Young. The star made the most recent defence of the title on June 21st against Jake Something and Mance Warner.
The report adds that the end of the year is expected to be another big period for the company, with a number of contracts coming up at around the same time.
Joe Hendry To Swap TNA For WWE
While Maclin’s future remains uncertain, it’s considered a “lock” that Joe Hendry will sign with WWE when his contract expires. Following his match with Randy Orton at WrestleMania, Hendry has continued to be a regular in NXT as well as TNA.
The Scottish star’s contract expires before the end of the year.
In addition, there’s been a lot of talk within WWE regarding Mike Santana. The former AEW star has impressed during his NXT appearances, earning “high marks” for his work. According to the most recent report on his status, Santana remains under TNA contract through the end of 2025.
