Ex-Tag Champion Not Interested In WWE Return For Major Reason
Former one-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Shotzi has no intention of returning to WWE.
Shotzi kicked off her WWE stint in 2019 after grinding it out on the indies for years. She was officially released when her contract expired on May 3, 2025, after creative frustrations and limited opportunities. Right now, Shotzi is tearing it up on the independent wrestling scene.
The former WWE star has been popping up in top promotions like MLW and GCW. The indie life fits her vibe perfectly, and her calendar is packed, keeping her on top of her game and closer to fans than ever before.
Ex-WWE star Shotzi Is Having Too Much Fun in the Indies
That said, during a recent appearance on Saraya’s Rulebreakerspodcast, Shotzi made it clear she’s not rushing back to WWE anytime soon. She’s having a blast in the indies, cutting loose and finding her groove. For Shotzi, it’s all about making big noise as her true self; she wants to reach a point where, when (or if) she goes back to WWE, they won’t be able to sideline her, they’ll have no choice but to use her front and center.
“Not right now. Not right now. Just because like I am having so much fun on the indies and I think I just need more time to do me and have fun before I go in there. “Because I just want to make so much noise here doing me, to where I would go back there and just be undeniable. Like they couldn’t throw me into catering, they have to use me. I want them to be forced to utilize me.”
Shotzi made her final WWE appearance at NXT Stand & Deliver on April 19. She accompanied Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley to win a fatal four-way tag team elimination match on the pre-show to become the #1 contenders for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
