Lana, who is currently signed to WWE under a legends contract, recently sat down with TMZ’s Inside the Ring, where she disclosed that the Stamford-based company had banned her from its shows.

WWE Legend Lana Was Banned From Shows Because Rusev Was Signed To AEW

This was when her husband, Rusev (aka Miro), was under a contract with WWE’s rival promotion, AEW.

After I got released, I took a year off from going to any wrestling shows cuz I was just really burned out.

I was on the 800 days… I had been on a plane in 10 years. I was like, I can’t get on a plane again. And I was so tired. And then a year later, I was like, I miss wrestling.

Like, I miss going to wrestling shows, and WWE wouldn’t let me in because you know, Miro was at AEW.

And then, I started going to AEW shows with Miro, and I loved it. And I’m like, I want to go to WWE shows too because I love WWE. I worked there, and my friends are there. [From 24:56]

Rusev made his surprise return on the episode of Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania 41, which aired on April 21, 2025.

Now that Rusev and Lana are back in the Stamford-based company, in different capacities, the female legend is allowed to attend the shows again.

Perry recently attended the Survivor Series premium live event, which took place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Petco Park in San Diego, California.

She was on the show primarily to witness the return of her best friend, Liv Morgan, who made her return to the Stamford-based company after almost five months of absence.
