Former Heavyweight Champion Shockingly Retires At Age 40
A former Heavyweight Champion has ended his 24-year wrestling career.
Cabana Man Dan kicked off his career in 2001. He has since competed in several promotions on the independent circuit, including NWA, GCW, and New South Pro Wrestling.
Throughout his wrestling career, the 40-year-old held the IWA Deep South Heavyweight Champion, New South Title, and New South Tag Team Champion, among several other belts.
The Former Heavyweight Champion’s Wrestling Career Is Over
Cabana Man Dan recently took to X to announce his retirement from in-ring competition. The former IWA Deep South Heavyweight Champion thanked everyone who supported Deep South. He also thanked his tag team partner and close friend, Dump Sanders, for never giving up on him in an emotional message.
The 40-year-old also expressed gratitude to his wife and WWE Hall of Famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat. Meanwhile, Dan sent one final message in his caption.
