Ex-WWE Star Confirms Shooting Content For Netflix
A wrestler who WWE has chosen not to re-sign has confirmed that he recently was part of filming content for Netflix.
The WWE roster got a little bit smaller over the last week when it was revealed that Baron Corbin would not receive a new contract while Indi Hartwell and Tegan Nox were released.
Baron Corbin is a former NFL player who became an attraction in NXT and won matches so quickly that the fans would start counting because they knew he’d win in under 30 seconds.
While on the main roster, Corbin won the United States Title once and also won the Money in the Bank briefcase in 2017. Corbin captured the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2016 and he became “King Corbin” after winning the 2019 King of the Ring tournament.
Perhaps the greatest feather in his cap was retiring the WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 35 in 2019.
After a 2023-early 2024 run in NXT that saw him become an NXT Tag Team Champion Bron Breakker, Corbin was moved to Smackdown where he teamed up with Apollo Crews. However, the team was only used sparingly in recent months.
Even though WWE has decided not to sign Corbin to a new deal, they did recently use him while they were filming content for Netflix, which will be the home of Raw and all other WWE shows for the international audience in 2025.
Corbin responded to a post on social media by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp saying “that’s a fact.”
That is a fact.
