Ex-Champion Takes A Dig At WWE Amid In-Ring Absence
A current WWE superstar is frustrated about not being used more.
The WWE roster is more loaded than ever, and because of that, many talented men and women are sitting on the sidelines waiting for an opportunity.
When the last WWE Draft took place in April 2024, Carmelo Hayes was heralded as a first-round draft pick. At that point, it was believed by many people that Hayes was on his way to becoming a superstar on the main roster.
During his WWE career on the SmackDown brand, Hayes has been in television rivalries with the likes of Andrade and been associated with The Miz, he hasn’t been featured on PLEs much at all. An example of that is that Hayes wasn’t on the card for WrestleMania 41 or SummerSlam this year.
Carmelo Hayes did win the Andre The Giant Battle Royal on the final SmackDown before WrestleMania 41, but that victory isn’t celebrated that much at all.
There are many fans online who have been clamoring for WWE to do more with Hayes, yet he isn’t being given more opportunities.
Carmelo Hayes Calls Out WWE To Give Him A Chance
As a former WWE NXT Champion and NXT North American Champion, Hayes is one of the most accomplished wrestlers coming from NXT in the last five years. While his former NXT rival, Bron Breakker, is thriving on Raw, Hayes appears to be benched on SmackDown.
In a post on X/Twitter, Carmelo Hayes kept it simple by telling WWE to utilize him better.
Pass me the ball @WWE
Whether WWE is ready to “pass” Hayes the ball is unknown, but clearly the confident Hayes is ready for more opportunities.
