Ex-WWE star gives an update on her broken nose.

Kacy Catanzaro, known to WWE fans as Katana Chance, has finally addressed a lingering injury that dates back to her in-ring days. The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion broke her nose nearly a year ago, and now, following her release from the company, she’s taken the time to get it fixed.

The injury occurred in July 2024, during an episode of WWE Raw. Catanzaro was competing in a six-woman tag match alongside Kayden Carter and Lyra Valkyria against the “Pure Fusion Collective” trio of Zoey Stark, Shayna Baszler, and Sonya Deville.

During the match, Stark nailed Catanzaro with her signature Z-360 finisher, which left the former WWE star bloodied and with a broken nose. While she continued to wrestle in the months that followed, the injury was never publicly addressed until now.

Former WWE Star Katana Chance Shares Recovery Update After Longstanding In-Ring Injury

Kacy Catanzaro recently posted an update to her Instagram story showing a side-by-side photo of her journey: one image from the night of the injury, with her face bloodied, and a current photo with her nose wrapped in medical bandages.

The caption read, “finally got my broken nose fixed”

The story also included a request for “binge-worthy” shows to help pass the time during recovery. Fans were quick to show support on social media, many of whom hadn’t realized how serious the injury was until seeing the comparison.

Catanzaro was released from WWE in May 2025, part of a wave of talent cuts that also included Kayden Carter, Shayna Baszler, Braun Strowman, and Dakota Kai. She first joined the company in 2017 and quickly became a fan favorite thanks to her high-flying offense and athletic background. Despite a brief hiatus in 2019 due to a back injury, she returned strong in 2020 and made history by winning tag team gold in both NXT and on the main roster alongside Carter.
