Ex-Champion Confirmed To Have Suffered Serious Injury On WWE Show
A multiple-time former champion has undergone surgery after suffering a serious injury at a recent WWE show.
Former WWE Superstar and current TNA star Elijah (Fka Elias) competed on the June 17 episode of NXT, where he teamed up with Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura to defeat AJ Francis, Trick Williams, and Wes Lee in a six-man tag team match.
However, the former 24/7 Champion was reported to have suffered an injury during the match after delivering a high-flying move.
TNA finally announced that the 37-year-old had indeed sustained a torn left triceps and would be out of action indefinitely. TNA commentator Tom Hannifan added that Elijah had undergone successful surgery and started his recovery process.
Tuesday on NXT, Elijah has suffered a torn left triceps. After evaluation, Elijah is officially ruled out of action indefinitely as he begins the recovery and rehabilitation process. Updates on his condition will be provided as they become available,” Tom Hannifan confirmed this. “We can tell you at this time that Elijah has had successful surgery, and we wish him the best in his road to recovery and his rehabilitation process. WWE Was Hit By Multiple Injuries
Elijah was not the only one to get injured on WWE TV in recent weeks. After Zoey Stark sustained a serious knee injury that would reportedly keep her out of action for nearly a year, Liv Morgan suffered a dislocated shoulder last Monday on RAW.
The Women’s Tag Team Champion reportedly has to undergo surgery and would be out for six months.
Meanwhile, SmackDown commentator Joe Tessitore announced last Friday that Pretty Deadly’s Elton Prince was also injured and would be out of action without giving more details.
