WWE recently called up some NXT stars to the main roster in the past week.

Trick Williams landed on Friday Night SmackDown, and Je’Von Evans officially signed with Monday Night Raw.

Jordynne Grace made appearances on the Friday night show, and Oba Femi was featured in vignettes across both main roster shows.

Former AEW Women’s Champion Blake Monroe now appears to be the next name on the call-up radar.

In a new report, Fightful Select stated that Monroe has been internally discussed for a main roster move.

This buzz comes just as Monroe is set to challenge Thea Hail for the NXT Women’s North American Championship at NXT New Year’s Evil on January 6.

She lost the title on the December 16, 2025, episode of WWE NXT.

Blake Monroe Was Not Supposed To Lose The WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship

The crowd saw Hail hit Monroe with a springboard senton. Monroe was supposed to kick out, but she was legitimately hurt from the spot.

Therefore, she couldn’t kick out on time.

This created confusion, and the referee counted 1,2,3, giving Thea Hail the pinfall victory and making her the new champion.

It was reported that Monroe and backstage WWE people were very upset with the botch, and the accidental title change disrupted creative plans

How Monroe will be booked at New Year’s Evil will decide her near-term trajectory.

A title win might position her as a short-term anchor for the NXT Women’s mid card before a delayed call-up, while a loss could clear the path for a faster transition to Raw or SmackDown.
