Ex-AEW & TNA Wrestler Announces Retirement At Just 30
This former AEW and TNA wrestler from the independent wrestling scene has announced retirement at an early age.
Missa Kate, who reportedly began her career in 2018 in CSW, is calling it quits after just seven years of in-ring competition.
Her debut match was against former WWE star Shotzi at CSW: Proud Of Power. Her last game was on December 12th at CSW Cold Blood against Steve Boz in a career vs. career Match.
This was especially poetic for Kate because her childhood hero, WWE Icon John Cena, also retired in the same month.
She has also appeared in AEW as a part of the AEW: Dark series in 2019 and featured in TNA in 2024 and 2025.
Former AEW name Missa Kate Shares a Heartfelt Message About Retirement
Kate shared an emotional message on Instagram addressing her fans before retirement.
Dear Wrestling World, How do I start this…. Tonight was my last wrestling match. Not just with CSW but across the board. I made a promise to myself when I first started wrestling that no matter where I was with wrestling, at 30 years old I would be done. There is sooo much more to the story, but I’m just going to end with that. There’s something so poetically beautiful of @johncena being the first match I’ve ever seen, & then being able to retire from wrestling the day before he does. It’s almost like God planned it. Who’d a thunk it.
