Ex-AEW Star Wins More Gold As Part Of WWE

A former AEW star has won more gold as part of the WWE roster, as a huge title change takes place.

WWE put AEW front and centre after Saturday Night’s Main Event as CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, and Ricky Saints all posed for a picture with their respective titles. All four were formerly part of Tony Khan’s company before making the jump to WWE.

Saturday Night’s Main Event saw Cody Rhodes retain his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre, but fans got a glimpse of the dark side of the American Nightmare as he did so. There’s no doubt about Jade Cargill embracing her dark side after she broke bad on Tiffany Stratton. Cargill managed to vanquish Stratton and capture the WWE Women’s Championship, finally.

CM Punk reclaimed the World Heavyweight Championship as he picked up a win over Jey Uso to capture the vacant title.

But it’s more than just those four ex-AEW stars who have gold in WWE.

Ex-AEW Star Wins AAA Gold

Ethan Page is the current NXT Men’s North American Champion, while Blake Monroe holds the NXT Women’s North American Title. And now Page has another title to boast of.

Ethan Page teamed with Chelsea Green at the recent AAA tapings to defeat Mr Iguana and La Hiedra to win the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship.

After the match, it looked like there would be more WWE involvement in AAA as NXT’s Lola Vice emerged to comfort Mr Iguana, leading to La Hiedra slapping him and ending their partnership.
