Ex-AEW Star Was “Walking On Eggshells” In The Company
Former AEW star Alan Angels has given an insight into his experience of being on the AEW roster as he explains that he’s happy to not be “walking on eggshells” now he’s in Impact Wrestling.
Alan Angels joined the AEW roster during the pandemic in the spring of 2020 where he quickly became known as 5 in The Dark Order. Angels remained with the company until the summer of 2022 when his deal expired. Since then, Angels has become part of Impact Wrestling, where he joined another group in The Design.
Speaking on Busted Open, Alan Angels discussed how he feels about being part of the Impact Wrestling roster and seemed to indicate a difference between that company and AEW:
“I don’t feel like I’m walking on eggshells all the time. I feel like everybody there is super inviting and welcoming and I just love the camaraderie.”
That caused Bully Ray to ask Angels if that meant he felt like he was walking on eggshells while on the AEW roster with Angels responding that it was more a case of not wanting to upset the wrong person:
“I think with AEW, and walking on eggshells kind of sounds worse than it is, I think it’s just a competitive industry in general, you know what I mean? So, I just think when you’re at AEW, you kind of walk around, you don’t want to upset anybody, you don’t want to p*ss off the wrong person or anything like that.
“So, while I’m at Impact, I don’t feel like I have to worry about that as much. Not that I want to piss off the wrong guy, obviously, I don’t, but there’s just not that worry in the back of your mind all the time.”

Angels’ former group The Dark Order picked up a massive win on Rampage as Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds, and John Silver defeated The Elite’s Hangman Adam Page and The Young Bucks.
